BB500 Absalon

The 140M Long command & support ship Absalon can perform a number of national and international task, including transportation of personal and material, command platform for land, air and sea operations. The ship also has a mine laying capacity. It also has the capacity to carryout humanitarian operations as a hospital ship. The ship is fitted with a 900 square meter flexible deck to perform in different operations and has a roll-on-roll-off (RO/RO) capacity aft. The Absalon has during 2008 and 2009 been participating in patrolling, and capturing pirates in the waters around Somalia.

BB502 Varnadis

In the mid-1860's a Swedish distilling company placed a contract with the Stockholm dockyard of Soedra Varvet for the construction of a fast, elegant sailing schooner. In 1868 the 29 m long Vanadis was launched, rigged as a Newfoundland schooner. During her colourful career the vessel's high speed was in demand, and at times she operated as a smuggling boat and as a customs vessel. She now serves as a charter vessel for extended sailing cruises, and has taken part with great success in international regattas.

BB524 Evelyn Rose

A typical English cod fishing trawler from the 1950's to the 1970's sailing along the east coast of England from Ipswich to North Sunderland and Northumberland just below the Scottish border. The boats where equipped with a 150 HK Diesel Engine. The boats where hauled up on shore via a line fastened to the bow. The crew on these vessels where between 3-5 men.

BB526 Andrea Gail

The Andrea Gail, an un-inspected commercial fishing vessel departed Gloucester Harbour, Massachusetts, September 20, 1991 with six crewmembers on board. The crew intended to make a fishing trip for swordfish in the area of the Grand Banks of Newfoundland, Canada. The vessel and six crewmembers remain missing and are presumed lost at sea in a major storm, referred to as the “Perfect Storm” by a meteorologist and made famous by Sebastian Junger’s book (the book was later turned into a Hollywood movie).
